This website is an effort to give Freedom minded people a nice place to interact with other Freedom lovers to discuss, comfort, support, share and learn from each other. It is hoped that this can be accomplished with a greater degree of temperance and self-control than is often displayed among people who discuss topics such as this.

In any given group of self-professed lovers of Freedom you may find a wide divergence of beliefs. This is due, in no small part, to a wide divergence of ignorance. Ignorance does not imply stupidity — it is simply not knowing. Willful ignorance, however, is a form of stupidity.

Even though one would think that a group of people that call themselves lovers of Freedom  could come together to peacefully discuss the issues at hand, often there is such a disparity between their positions that verbal/written violence becomes the norm rather than the exception. All too often the discussion is reduced to that of name-calling where there is no true winner. One’s ability to pull more vulgarity out of their hat to foist upon another does not make them the winner. In a name-calling contest, as in a battle skirmish, there are no winners, only festering wounds, anger and hate.

While these numerous positions fight and bicker with each other and divide themselves against each other over their differing views, the people who work together against our Freedoms steadfastly keep doing just that — and with a greater degree of unity. I fear that those who actively work together to reduce our Freedoms to that of mere livestock do so with a much greater degree of unity than those of us who work to restore Freedom and Liberty. My friends — this should not be the case!

If people would have more patience with each other sometimes they will find that their differences are more semantic in nature than in actuality. In any case, it becomes nearly impossible to bridge any differences once the name-calling breaks out. Calling someone an asshole will not increase your sphere of influence — it will diminish your influence to that of a fly on an elephant… a mere annoyance.

I fear there is way more correlation between the movie “The Matrix” and reality than most people can handle. There truly has been a world pulled over our eyes to blind us from the truth. Many people lack the vision to see things that would otherwise be clearly evident because of what is called “normalcy bias.” Wikipedia puts it nicely with the following:

The normalcy bias, or normality bias, refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

Face it folks — None of us have a handle on the whole truth! To make matters worse, it is highly unlikely that you could find the whole truth residing in the knowledge of 10,000 people, even a million for that matter. Let’s come to grips with the fact that we don’t know it all and keep our minds open to learn those things that would otherwise be far, far out of our reach.
